Returns and refunds

This policy describes how to return a product purchased on store.vassallosistemi.com and how refunds are handled. The seller is Vassallo Sistemi Srl, Via Vigonovese 81/B, 35127 Padova (PD), VAT no. 02419700287.

1. Right of withdrawal (consumer customers)

If you purchase as a consumer, pursuant to Articles 52 et seq. of the Codice del Consumo (Italian Consumer Code, D.Lgs. 206/2005) you have the right to withdraw from the contract, without giving any reason, within 14 days from the day on which you, or a third party designated by you other than the carrier, acquire physical possession of the goods.

To exercise the right of withdrawal, send us an explicit statement by writing to store@vassallosistemi.com, indicating the order number, item code and quantity. The deadline is met if the communication is sent before the 14-day period expires.

2. Purchases made by companies and professionals

The right of withdrawal provided for by the Codice del Consumo does not apply to purchases made with a VAT number in the course of a professional or business activity. In such cases, any return must be agreed in advance with our customer service.

3. Return procedure (RMA)

Open the request by writing to store@vassallosistemi.com with the order number, item code and reason for the return. In the event of a defect, please attach some photographs.
Receive the RMA number and the return address. The RMA number must be clearly visible on the parcel: shipments without an RMA number cannot be accepted.
Prepare the parcel: the product must be returned intact, in its original packaging, complete with accessories and documentation. Components that have come into contact with fuels or oils must be drained and cleaned before shipment.
Ship the goods within 14 days from the date on which you notified us of your withdrawal.

4. Return costs

In the event of withdrawal, the direct costs of returning the goods are borne by the customer. If the product is defective, damaged or does not conform to the order, the return costs are borne by us.

5. Refund

Once the goods have been received and inspected, we refund the payments received, including the standard delivery costs of the original order, within 14 days from the notification of withdrawal. We may withhold the refund until we have received the goods or until you have provided evidence of having sent them back. The refund is made using the same means of payment used for the purchase, unless otherwise agreed. You are liable for any diminished value of the goods resulting from handling other than what is necessary to establish their nature, characteristics and functioning.

6. Exclusions

The right of withdrawal is excluded in the cases provided for by Article 59 of the Codice del Consumo, including: products made to measure or clearly personalised (for example skids and filtration units configured on request); sealed products which are not suitable for return for hygiene or health protection reasons and which have been unsealed after delivery (for example additives, chemical products and analysis kits with opened packaging); products which, after delivery, are, by their nature, inseparably mixed with other goods.

7. Defective products and warranty

Consumer customers are covered by the 24-month legal guarantee of conformity provided for by Articles 128 et seq. of the Codice del Consumo. Catalogue items are also covered by the warranty of the respective manufacturer. The warranty covers manufacturing defects and does not cover normal wear of filter elements and other consumable components.
